True romance novel! Oh goodness I loved this one! So cheesy but yet tense with realism. I got engaged to my husband just 5 months after I met him and then officially married 10 months. I remember when I met him all the stars aligned. We connected and told each other exactly what we are looking for. We were looking to marry no funny business. We don’t ‘try’ each other out and we took everything seriously. Once we laid it all out there, it was clear that we were a perfect match. Our values, morals and views aligned everything else was natural. When the wedding day came along though, it was intense! This person was going to be your forever and as much as it felt right you always had that tiny voice in your head saying, “Are you sure?”

That’s exactly what this book was! Aubrey found the perfect man for her, Josh. He stabilizes her, they compliment each other and she knew that the decision to marry him was right. Or is it? At their rehearsal dinner she meets her ex boyfriend, Fred (the author could have given him a more mysterious name, Fred sounds like a dog. Or maybe he is just that, a dog haha), that might be the one that got away? She remembers all the good times and imagines how it could be if it would have worked out with him. Is this destiny that she sees him at her rehearsal dinner?

As all the wedding planning starts going downhill, Aubrey thinks to herself, maybe something is trying to tell her something? Maybe she shouldn’t marry Josh?

Awe, again this book is great in capturing all the “What if’s” we tend to form in out mind about crazy ideas! What if I married my high school sweetheart? What if I had kids with my ex-boyfriend? As much as it is crazy to think we have these thoughts, they are exactly that, thoughts and most of the time we don’t act on them so this book toys with that. Almost toying with the rebellion side of us. That might be exactly why I enjoyed it so much.
