We are set in a suburb neighborhood with families and the old retirees. Gladys is the neighborhood watch. She knows everyone and everything that goes and comes in her neighborhood. One day she notices something unusual about the neighborhood. Normally her neighbor, Katherine and John West are up and wake. The blinds are open every morning ready for the kids to get up and be ready for school. This morning is different though, no blinds are open no motion or sounds from the kids, is everything alright or is she just being too nosey as normal.

Logan is delivering packages and ends up at Katherine West’s house. He needs her to open the door and sign for her package but when he arrives at the house, only the peephole opens and she desperately pleads to leave the package at the door. Logan knows that it is against policy but something about her plead makes him think something is wrong. As he gets back into his van, he second thinks if he should tell someone, or he is just overthinking the situation.

Katherine West is a mother of two twin 5 year olds, she and her husband live in a lovely home on Hogarth Street. Her nosey neighbor Gladys has noticed issues between the two of them but no marriage is perfect and people argue. When this strange morning happens, is Gladys right to think that John, the husband, has something to do with it? Did she hear correctly in the morning when a car drove off with a screech? Was that in anger? How is Logan, the package delivery guy, Gladys, the old retiree, and Katherine all interconnected? Who will find out what is going on in Katherines home?

Great physiological thriller! I finished this book in a day because I couldn’t put it down! The author did a fantastic job storying telling through all the different characters. From Gladys, to Katherine every detail was throughly played out. What made the book so intriguing for me was the authors ability to insert back stories, past conversations and memories at pivotal events in time. It made you want to keep reading to find out why?! I find so often in physiological thrillers that authors find the need to start at the very beginning or explain back stories in chapters and chapters that don’t keep you on your toes. Truly great read! Highly recommend. Quick read but worth it.
