Emma, happy wife, mother and successful at her career but when she gets diagnosed with cancer, her life turns upside down. You would think she would be scared, terrified or sad that her life is now altered but rather she is accepting. She is more concerned about her husband, Leo and her child, Ruby.

Leo has worked his whole life to have a family of his own. He was adopted as a child and all he has ever wanted was to belong. Now that his wife has cancer with a shortened life span, he wants honor her with an admirable obituary.

As he starts to dig into her past, he finds out the woman he is married too is someone that he doesn’t know. She has lied about her name, degree, university, parents and life! Everything that he once built with this woman is gone. He feels betrayed, sad, and angry. Why would the love of his life do this to him when all he has ever given her was his life. Everything he has told her has been real and raw and she never was real. What more will he find out about his once beloved Emma? Can Emma get away with more lies? Why has she hidden so much from him? What does this mean for Ruby? Is Ruby really their child? Find out who the real Emma is.

If you are looking to get some books under your belt this one is a quick read. I finished in a day.  This book has good twists that will keep you entertained. I did find the book to be on the cheesy side towards the end. I wish it would have been more realistic around how a husband would act finding out enormous things about his wife’s life. Some big events toward the end were also rushed and I wish there was a better storyline. I felt like the author wanted to end the book quickly and didn’t find the time to expand on the smaller details. All in all, it was good not great. I would recommend for a short plane ride, easily entertained but low expectations.
